Looking back on 2025 at Al Elé

From being featured in publications we love to experiencing some of our strongest markets in nine years, 2025 was one of our biggest years yet.

As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to pause, reflect on the moments that meant the most to us, and share them with you—our community, who made it all possible. From the highs to the lows and everything in between, here’s a little wrap-up of what 2025 looked like for us.

A year of incredible highlights

This year brought in some seriously cool, pinch-me moments. We were so proud to be featured in Frankie Magazine and SLOW Journal—two publications we’ve admired for a long time.

We were also thrilled to be featured in a Coopers Brewery ad. Seeing our pieces celebrated in such an iconic Australian campaign was a huge moment for us, and something we’ll always be proud of.

Life on the market circuit

Markets have always been the heart of Al Elé, and 2025 was no exception. In fact, this year we showed up bigger, bolder, and more connected to our community than ever before.

This year, we took part in 14 markets (!!), drove over 11,000 kilometres across the country to get to said markets, and experienced some of our strongest markets ever—quite the achievement after nine years of market events, if we do say so ourselves.

Showing up to markets is no easy feat. Yet every conversation, every familiar face, and every new customer made the long days and early starts completely worth it. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who came, supported us, and reminded us why we fell in love with markets in the first place.

By the numbers (because we love a good stat)

A lot goes into creating each Al Elé piece, and this year the numbers really added up:

  • We transformed over 300 metres of denim into cute garments

  • We churned through over 170 kilometres (yes, you read that right) of embroidery thread, stitched into our designs

  • Our Daisey and Michael jackets got a lot of love this year - making up 30% of sales

Gratitude, lessons learned, and making space for change

Every year brings its highs and lows, and 2025 was no different. One of the biggest lessons we’ve taken from this year is learning that you don’t have to constantly put others ahead of yourself.

We’re learning to protect our time, our creativity, and our wellbeing, and to prioritise the incredible people who truly show up for us. That’s something we’re carrying into the years ahead.

We’re excited about having more time to pour back into ourselves and into the work, so we can continue showing up with fresh energy.

2025 also marked the closing of our physical shop: a big decision that came with its share of bittersweet emotions. Yet we’re excited for the next chapter and grateful for the space to rest, recharge, and dive into what we love most—markets, creativity, and bringing you fresh ideas and designs.

Looking ahead to 2026

Next year feels especially meaningful as we prepare to celebrate 10 years of markets in 2026—a milestone that feels surreal to even write.

We’re also making a conscious effort to slow down, spend more time with family and friends, and nurture the relationships that matter most.

Thank you for being part of our journey this year - whether you’ve supported us for years, or discovered us for the first time. We truly couldn’t do this without our incredible community.

Here’s to rest, creativity, and adventures ahead!
