Blooming with orchid-inspired designs, our latest collection brings a bold, botanical feel to every look.

Alice, tell us about your latest collection.

I wanted to do something that felt playful, so the Orchid collection is full of organic, flowing shapes. It has an ambiguous quality to it - you're not quite sure what you're looking at, which makes it interesting.

Why orchids?

I just think orchids are such a fun and unique shape. There’s so much going on with them - from different angles, parts, and even on their own, just a single orchid can be so interesting. And the colours of orchids are amazing. They just blow you away every time with their colour combinations, which are so beautiful.

What was the design process like?

There was a lot of sketching, lots of reference photos, and lots of back-and-forth tweaking the digital design to get it just right. I wanted to make sure it would print well and still have impact. There is a simplicity to orchids, despite their different shapes. A simple, white orchid, for example, is very stripped back and elegant. So I didn’t want to go too in-your-face with the design.

How would you recommend styling pieces from the collection?

All the pieces are in the orchid wine colorway, so they're perfect for autumn or winter. I’d recommend styling them with jeans, a long sleeve, or tights and boots in those colder seasons. It looks really cute as a matching set, too.

Where can you find the orchid collection, and how long will it be available?

You can find them at Finder Keepers this weekend, and online until the end of July. We’re keeping this run short and sweet. I'm only doing one more print run in the coming week, so if you get in quick, you can get custom colorways.

The orchid embroidery designs will be sticking around though, so never fear - we can always make that happen!
